Life Care Independent Living
Life Care is a unique approach to retirement living, delivering an enriching, active, independent lifestyle while providing for future care needs. Life Care offers a continuum of housing and healthcare options – independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care – to meet needs today and in the future.
The one-time entrance fee is 90% refundable. Part of the monthly service fee may be tax-deductible as a prepaid medical expense. When needs change, either temporarily or more permanently, residents receive the appropriate level of care for as long as it’s needed. Located in Lenox, MA, Kimball Farms is the only Life Care retirement community in Western Massachusetts.

Our independent living residents live life on their own terms in the privacy of a beautiful apartment home, secure in the knowledge that any assistance and health care that may be needed is available within our campus of care.

Assisted Living
We believe that assisted living should focus on maximizing independence and enjoying life in the moment. With all-inclusive care, our residents receive as much personal care assistance for covered services as needed, for one all-inclusive monthly fee. Covered services include assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming, continence care, ambulation, and medication management.

Assistance in Living
For residents needing a little assistance each day, caring staff provide support with personal care and a helping hand to meet individual needs for bathing, dressing, grooming, ambulation, and medication reminders. We even take care of the little things that make a big difference, like making the bed every day and washing a load of personal laundry each week.

Assisted Living with Memory Care
Both PineHill Assisted Living and Linda Manor Assisted Living offer specialized memory care for residents with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. Our Life Enrichment Memory Care neighborhoods are modeled after a typical home, providing familiar cues to help residents enjoy as much independence as possible within a secure setting. Our memory care residents also enjoy all-inclusive assisted living, receiving as much personal assistance as needed for all covered services without additional expenses for levels of care.
Our program is built around the philosophy of habilitation, joining residents within their reality for a supportive life of dignity and respect. The habilitation model, developed by Dr. Paul Raia of the Alzheimer’s Association and author Joanne Koenig Coste, provides the framework for understanding, communicating, and interacting with those living with dementia.

Certified Memory Care
Several of our skilled nursing affiliates offer a higher level of memory care for those residents with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia who require more assistance and care than offered in an assisted living setting.

Respite Stays
Like a vacation from the everyday, short-term respite stays let guests experience the advantages of assisted living and long-term care while caregivers are away. Many of our residents have made the decision to make the move permanently following a respite stay in one of our communities.
