The Cintas Cleaning to Advance the Patient Experience Award recognizes outstanding EVS (Environmental Services) technicians working on the frontlines who display kindness, courage, and quality service. Out of the 700 nationwide submissions, two Berkshire Healthcare employees were among the eight winners of the award: Lourdes Melo from Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody, MA and Elzbieta Szymczakiewicz from Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield, MA. As a result of their hard work, Lourdes and Elzbieta received $2,500 of their own, a $2,500 donation on their behalf to their healthcare institution or charity of choice, a Rubbermaid® charging bucket, and other Rubbermaid products.
